CDOCAST hydraulic press for minting is designed for gold and silver coin minting, bullion bar logo stamping, medal forming and commemorative piece production. The machine applies stable, controllable hydraulic pressure to transfer sharp logos, lettering and relief patterns from precision dies onto gold, silver, copper and other metal blanks.
Available from 100 to 1000 tons, our hydraulic coining press machines include economical frame-type presses, precision four-column hydraulic presses and energy-saving servo motor models. Each press can be matched with minting dies, sub-die holders and ejection systems for individual machines or complete gold and silver minting lines.

Practical answers for selecting and operating a precious-metal minting press.
Select it according to the product material, diameter or dimensions, design area, relief depth, die size and required output. Product weight alone is not enough to calculate suitable press tonnage.
No. Punching uses fast impact and a short stroke for cutting or blanking, while minting requires stable, continuous and uniform pressure—often with a controlled dwell time—to transfer fine die details.
A servo hydraulic press offers more precise control of pressure, speed and position, with lower noise and better energy efficiency. It is valuable for high-repeatability products, including small precious-metal bars and precision coins.
A frame press is compact, accessible and cost-effective for general production. A four-column press provides more stable guidance and uniform pressure, making it preferable for larger dies or applications requiring better parallelism.
It is usually not recommended. An oversized press can be inefficient at very low operating pressure and may increase tooling risk. Dividing a very wide product range between suitably sized presses generally improves control and efficiency.
Bolster plates absorb localized wear and deformation, support the tooling and protect the main press surfaces. They help preserve machine accuracy and are easier to repair or replace than the main table.
A matched sub-die holder distributes force, supports the dies, may integrate an ejection system and helps contain fragments if a die breaks. It improves rigidity, operating safety and mold life.
For a standard production shift, the built-in cooling system is normally sufficient. A separate water chiller may be recommended for continuous high-frequency operation exceeding about 10 hours, depending on ambient temperature and cycle rate.

The light curtain creates an infrared safety field near the working area. If a hand or object interrupts the beam during a hazardous movement, the control system stops the press cycle.
